A lot of great beers came out this month in Los Angeles. Here are five of our favorites.

Check it out.

One last chance for #PLINYWATCH in 2020.

Pliny the Younger has come and gone and we’re down to the FINAL tapping of the year. It’s all going down this Saturday morning at Lucky Baldwin’s Trappist in Pasadena. If you haven’t gotten a pour this year, this is your last opportunity until next year!

Curating Craft Beer in 2020 with Andrew Phillipp of Tony’s Darts Away

In this episode of The Hop Show with Javi, he sits down with Andrew Phillipp, General Manager at Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank, CA, where they talk about what it’s like to buy beer for some of LA’s best beer bars, the craving for crispy boys versus the hype for hazys, figuring out the perfect formula for a balanced tap list, the 7th annual Los Angeles IPA Festival, and more!

Listen in.

Our release of the week.

As you know, our full Release Radar goes out on Fridays but on Tuesdays we like to give you a little sneak peek into one release that we’re really excited for.

This week we’re stoked for the return of 1UP DIPA in cans! This West Coast double from Highland Park Brewery features Mosaic and Simco hops, leading to a wide array of flavors & aromas like pineapple, grapefruit, & orange. We’re sold! Cans release at their Chinatown taproom & Hermosillo location today, Tues 3/3.

Our beer event picks this week.

Post IPA Fest Fallout Night at Tony’s Darts Away

Tues 3/3 in Burbank

LA IPA Festival has come and gone, but the leftovers remain! Tony’s is tapping a bunch of the awesome West Coast IPAs featured at the festival last Saturday, many of which you never see pouring in the LA area. Head out to Tony’s and enjoy the leftovers!

40 Beers for 40 Years with Sierra Nevada at Brewport Tap House

Thurs 3/5 in El Segundo

Sierra Nevada is celebrating 40 years in style, taking over 40 taps at Brewport Tap House in El Segundo. They’ll have some of the classics you love alongside some beers that you just never see much outside of Chico. Great event paying respects to one of the leaders in the industry.

1% for the Planet Party with South Coast Botanic Garden at Smog City Brewing

Sat 3/7 in Torrance

Smog City kicks off their 1% For The Planet series with a special cherry blossom-themed event featuring South Coast Botanic Gardens. Smog will be pouring a full line-up of stone fruit-themed beers and will also be serving up two house-made beer cocktails featuring June Lady and White Peach Saison.

RT Rogers Brewing 2nd Anniversary Celebration

Sat 3/7 in Sierra Madre

RT Rogers Brewing in Sierra Madre is turning 2! I’ll be completely transparent here, I don’t know much about these guys, never visited the taproom, never tried their beers. But the place looks great, has a nice family & group gathering vibe, and they’re a brewery in an area that doesn’t have a ton of them. So, if you’re in the area or even if you’re curious about checking out a new spot, head out to Sierra Madre and celebrate RT Rogers 2 year anniversary.

We then feature any content we create for you in a native promo campaign to our audience of craft beer enthusiasts in LA (50k/month).
