Allagash Tap Takeover at Brewport Tap House

We’re happy to announce our upcoming Tap Takeover with Allagash Brewing Company out of Portland, Maine. They’re known for their Belgian-inspired beer and they’ll be bringing a great selection of their work to Brewport for the occasion, including their . . .

Allagash White
. . . a Belgian-style wheat beer brewed with oats, malted wheat, and unmalted raw wheat for a hazy, “white”
appearance. Spiced with Allagash’s own special blend of coriander and Curaçao orange peel (5.1% ABV)

Hoppy Table Beer
. . . a mildly hoppy aroma full of grapefruit springs from this straw-colored, light-bodied ale. Flavors of pine
and stone fruit balance the beer’s clean, slightly bitter finish. (4.8%ABV)

Citrus and peppery spice are balanced by a pleasant malt character. Saison is full bodied with a rustic, dry finish.

A strong golden ale carries herbal notes and passion fruit in the aroma. Suggestions of honey and biscuit are
found in the beer’s complex, varied palate. (9%ABV)

James Bean
. . . a bourbon barrel-aged Belgian-style strong ale infused with cold-brewed coffee, post fermentation.
Coffee, vanilla and bourbon dominate the aroma. Flavors of caramel, coffee, bourbon, and oak (10.4% ABV)

Uncommon Crow
. . . inspired by the common American crow’s love for blackberries. Uncommon Crow’s aromas of dark chocolate
and cherries bloom into big blackberry flavor and a slightly tart finish. (7.1%ABV)

To make Curieux, Allagash takes their Tripel and lets it age in bourbon barrels for seven weeks. Once that time is up, they
take the beer out of our cold cellars and blend it back with a portion of fresh Tripel. The resulting rich, golden ale
features smooth notes of coconut, vanilla, and a hint of bourbon.
