Each of our Farmer’s Table dinners features a different farm from which we source the produce and proteins for Eagle Rock Public House. The dinners are intended to act as both an homage to the farm and as an opportunity for guests to interact with the individuals who cultivate and craft their food, from farm to table.
For our Farmer’s Table dinner in August, we’ll feature Coleman Family Farms, a family-owned and operated farm located in Carpinteria, California. Coleman Family Farms began as a smattering of avocado and lemon trees when Bill Coleman purchased the plot in 1963. Snow peas, lettuces, chard, kale, and a wide variety of less-common greens gradually replaced the fruit trees, and have become the farm’s signature produce. When the Santa Barbara farmers market popped up in 1979, Bill was one of the first farmers set up shop. Bill passed away in 2016, so the farm is now operated by his children – primarily his son Romeo Coleman – and grandchildren.
