244 Thousand Oaks Blvd, 91360, Thousand Oaks, CA, US

Tarantula Hill Brewing Co is the first brewery to hit Thousand Oaks (with another on the way) and yes, while technically this is not LA, it is damn close enough and this place is worth checking out.

Tarantula Hill features a massive space with their on-site brewery, artisan pizza kitchen, small-batch ice cream parlor, and tons of communal seating and an expansive patio overlooking Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Brought to you by Ali Zia of Bottle & Pint and with beer from head brewer Mike Richmond, formerly of Stone, we’re very stoked to see Tarantula Hill open and serve the TO community.

Their tap list is limited to mostly guest beers as their own beer program ramps up for their official grand opening coming in the next few weeks.

Relentless Brewing & Spirits, located along Colorado Blvd in Eagle Rock, is the second location for Temecula-based Relentless Brewing.

Despite the name, there is no brewing or distilling happening on-site, contradicting early reports that the project would feature a distillery. Rather, the space features a well-designed open-concept bar pouring 25-ish taps of guest beers alongside Relentless’ own brews, a full bar serving up creative cocktails, and a kitchen putting out a variety of small bites and bar food.

The spot is still very much in soft opening mode with limited hours Wednesday through Sunday, an abbreviated food menu, and open capacity on their draft lines, but expect them to ramp up quickly over the next several weeks.
